Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)

The Lymphatic System's main purpose is to drain substances that cannot be drained or reabsorbed by the blood system. Manual Lymph Drainage is a gentle technique to help improve the activity, by focusing on the affected (swollen) areas such as the hands, arms, legs or whole body. It reduces the accumulation of fluid retained in the body (edema), increases venous return and it promotes pain control (analgesic).

Who benefits from MLD? Anyone with:
Fibromyalgia, post-traumatic swelling, post-surgical swelling, pregnancy swelling, migraine headaches, lymph nodes removed. $70.

Trigger Point Massage Therapy

What is a trigger point?

It's a muscle knot or a very tender point in the body. It is the primary cause of pain in the body, about 75% of the time. It affects a muscle by keeping it both tight and weak. The pain it causes can be local or can radiate to broader areas, distant from the trigger point itself. (ie. Headaches extending from back of the head to the eye and forehead are usually caused by trigger points on the sub-occipital area, or base of head.)

Trigger points get treated by first locating the knot in the muscle and then applying pressure at different intensities using several thumb and finger techniques on and around the trigger point until the buildup of the knot is broken.
